Wait times for autism assessments through the NHS can stretch up to three years or more. We offer significantly reduced waiting times, with appointments often available in just a few weeks.
Every member of our team has autism recognition at national or international level. The breadth of specialisms and expertise of our multidisciplinary team ensures thorough, accurate, and personalised assessments at every stage of life.
Our highly experienced team follows NICE guidelines and all best practices, using standard diagnostic tools such as ADOS, ADI-R, and DISCO where appropriate. Unlike many other services, we use these tools selectively, meaning that we never rely on them over expert clinical judgment.
Whatever the result of your diagnosis, you’ll receive a detailed diagnostic report within 4 weeks of your assessment. If you are diagnosed with autism, you will also receive an official statement for support in educational or employment settings.
Regardless of the diagnostic outcome, every assessment at NDAS concludes with personalised recommendations, offering general guidance or pointing you toward appropriate resources for ongoing support.
